Construction of Rooppur Unit 2 in Bangladesh

The construction of the foundation slab of the machine room of Unit 2 of Rooppur NPP, in Bangladesh, was completed on August 6 with 3,782 tons of reinforcement, and 23,550 cubic meters of concrete.  

According to Sergey Lastochkin, Vice President and Director of the Rooppur NPP Construction Project, in Bangladesh, at ASE JSC, this is an essential stage of the construction, after which work will begin on the structure of the walls of the machine room of Unit 2. ASE delivered the support structures for Unit No. 1 the same day.
