China University of Nuclear Industry recently launched civil engineering construction. It signals that the Nuclear Industry University project has started in full swing, and it has officially entered the substantive and difficult stage.
The China University of Nuclear Industry project is located in the Eco-City in the Binhai New Area of Tianjin. It is a key project in the strategic cooperation framework agreement signed between Tianjin and China National Nuclear Corporation. According to the data, it plans to build a teaching complex, administrative building, student life compound, faculty and staff life compound, and outdoor projects, with a construction area of about 70,000 square meters. It is expected to be put into operation in 2021.
After the project is completed, it will become a national-level industry-university-research innovation demonstration base integrating the functions of talent skill training, master’s degree and doctorate education, international academic exchange, and core technology research and development. With China’s first “nuclear university” being established soon, China’s nuclear industry personnel training will be equipped with “nuclear power”.
