100 international companies convert to renewable energy

A group of international companies started setting clear goals within the strategy of environmental protection, as 100 companies pledged to gradually convert to renewable energies to become totally dependent on them.

Facebook, Goldman Sachs and GB Morgan committed to do so this year. IKEA stores and McKinsey Group committed to do this by 2025, while Barclays, HSBC and HM committed to comply with these levels by 2030.

According to the S&P group’s ” Trucost”, which assesses climate change risks, 60% of the assets held by companies within the S&P index around the world are exposed to at least one type of climate change risk, which urges many of them to take action. Determined to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, in the interest of its and its investors.
