5 billion offshore wind power base kicks off

Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Government held a centralized groundbreaking ceremony for “thousands of trillions” major projects. Wenzhou’s 9 major projects with a total investment of 46.4 billion yuan participated in the centralized construction, including the global offshore wind power headquarters and assembly base project.

It is reported that the total investment of the global offshore wind power headquarters and assembly base project is 5.03 billion yuan, with a total land of 700 mu. After the project reaches production, it will form a 5GW/year wind turbine production capacity and 1GWh/year energy storage system equipment capacity, which is expected to achieve an annual industrial output value of more than 20 billion yuan and provide 800 jobs.
