Slow progress in Peru’s transport infra projects

Peru’s transport infrastructure projects are advancing slowly, despite reports highlighting progress and upcoming deliveries of finished works.

Some of the government’s flagship infrastructure developments have struggled to progress in accordance with the timetable. The highways and roads sector is one of the few that has been complying with the established schedules.

Between January and August 2022, 95% of budgeted investments were made in this sector and it was the main driver of the construction industry in the period.
