First Batch of AP1000 Blast Valve Delivered to Sanmen

Blast ValveThe first batch of AP1000 blast valve of 14 inches was successfully delivered to Sanmen nuclear power plant site on January 9th.
There are 12 blasts for each unit with two different specifications of 14 inches and 8 inches.
The AP1000 blast valve was made by US company SPX. As to the high safety and reliable requirements for the nuclear blast valve, Chinese Nuclear Safety Administration and Nuclear Regulatory Commission have paid highly attention to its manufacturing and qualification test and conducted special inspection to the company and its subcontractors.
