The parliament announced the need to provide Iran with 20 thousand MW of electricity, which requires the construction of ten nuclear power plants.
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran planned to build power plants but due to the impossibility of the construction of ten stations at the same time, it is currently scheduled to build two only.
It should be noted that Tehran and Moscow signed in November of 2014 a number of documents in Moscow provides for the expansion of the cooperation between the two sides in the field of the safe use of nuclear energy and the construction of eight power units at nuclear power plants in Iran. Moreover, it has been signed to build the second part of “Bushehr” nuclear power plant which consists of two power units according to the Russian draft contract
