Sino-Argentinian HWR project in 2017

Mr. Qin Zhimin, GM of China National Nuclear Corporation, and Mauricio Macri, president of Argentina, reached consensus on the promotion and implementation of the major cooperative nuclear projects. President Macri stated that Argentina would give full support in the prospective of starting HWR (heavy water reactor) construction by end of 2017, and striving for the set-up of PWR (pressurized water reactor) project in 2019.

During the meeting, Qian Zhimin and President Macri declared that both countries would expand their cooperation in the nuclear field and co-develop HWR in third country market. China would provide technical and financing support.
