*Yantai Jinrun Nuclear Power Materials Co., Ltd (hereafter referred to as Jinrun), with bold innovative mind in the business, indigenously developed the fire blocking materials, which drive the business to successfully move from the fire engineering market to the nuclear power materials field.
In the exhibition hall of Jinrun, it displayed its independent fire materials for the structure protection of the Gen-III AP/ACP nuclear power plants. This new product was jointly developed by Jinrun and the Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research& Design Institute with three competitive advantages: firstly, it set up a testing method applying to the special working condition of the nuclear power plant’s fire-proof sealing and blocking; secondly it passed the most rigorous 3-hour duration of the fire resistance; thirdly it builds for the first time the cable-loaded flow test platform.
The success of Jinrun in the nuclear industry owe to its scientific and technological innovation. In 2000, Jinrun joined hands with a Westinghouse affiliate—USA PCI Energy to tap into the nuclear power market. In 2002, Jinrun started with the introduction of the German technology and advanced equipments to manufacture the cable fire proof coating. In the process of the development, Jinrun continuously increase the technological investment, and dedicated to the core product development and push the upgrading of its business structure.
Currently Jinrun has already signed contract with CNNC for the cable and cable bridge fire prevention devices for Hualong projects. And besides, the R&D contract with CNPEC regarding the fire blocking material for Hualong No.1 is still ongoing.
*Jinrun: is China’s only technical enterprise which can provide a package service of the nuclear-grade fire protection from the product R&D, design, manufacturing, construction and repair. Up to 2015, its self-owned fire proof coating devices for the cable and Cable Bridge has enjoy more than 90% of the domestic nuclear market, while its “passive entity structure of the fire protection” has accounted for more than 70% of the total nuclear market shares.
