Russia comes to Egypt…not for tourism

A Russian delegation will visit the construction site of Dabaa power plant in November to assess what has been accomplished from the engineering work for the project. All the technical studies for the Dabaa plant have been completed and Egypt enters now in the stage of the final negotiations with “Rosatom” for the implementation of the project.

A team of Egyptian engineers have been invited to travel to Russia in the coming days, to take advantage of Russian nuclear energy expertise.

Sergei Kiriyenko, the former CEO of “Rosatom”, announced earlier this month about the possibility of signing the agreement on the construction of Dabaa nuclear power plant before the end of 2016.
