Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for the Environment Dr.. Mohammed Ben Dinh announced that Bahrain, in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) installed five stations for measuring the radiation in the four provinces of the Kingdom.
A fifth station has been installed at the headquarters of the Supreme Council for Environment. All stations are linked through systems within the Council.
Dr.Ben Dinh explained this project is the fruit of cooperation with the IAEA, which estimated the five stations at a cost of 500 thousand USD where Bahrain ratio of only 5% of the value of services while the IAEA ratio of 95% of the cost, in addition to the use of experts from the IAEA.
Dr.Ben Dinh revealed that plan with the IAEA will last for five years until 2020, the Agency will create three programs in the field of emergencies and disasters.
