At the beginning of July, Mr. Wang Shoujun, president of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) met with the Provincial Governor of Hainan Province Mr. Shen Xiaoming in Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province. The two sides exchange on their cooperation projects ranging from the Hainan nuclear power project construction, proton medical treatment technology to the high-end health industry.
CNNC is actively promoting the nuclear/-related technology application and the new energy development in Hainan Province
such as the nuclear power, small reactor, proton medical treatment, high-end health industry and battery charging pile projects.
Mr. Shen Xiaoming stated that, Hainan Province will use the nuclear power as its main power supply in future and make efforts to turn Hainan Island (province) into a pilot base for clean and renewable energy.
