On August 17, Mr. Wang Shoujun, president of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), and Mr. Zhang Shaopeng, director of the General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals (GRINM), hold a ceremony for the signature of the strategic cooperation agreement between both entities.
Mr. Yang Changli, deputy manager of CNNC and Mr. Xiong Baiqing, deputy director of GRINM signed the agreement. Meanwhile, the CNNC affiliated companies, such as China Institute of Atomic Energy, 404 Factory and CNNC Northern Nuclear Fuel Component Company, also signed the cooperation framework with GRINM.
According to the framework, CNNC and GRINM will move further on the nuclear material research and application based on previous cooperation. And in addition, they decide to adopt various cooperation methods including the joint development and co-establishment and investment to accelerate the progress of new material and new technology application and improvement. Besides, both sides agree to jointly apply for the national research projects regarding the new nuclear material research as well as the regular organization of the nuclear new technology workshop.
