The Egyptian President Invites Vladimir Putin to be part in Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant

During the meeting between Abdulfattah Al Sisi and Vladimir Putin, which was held in China in 4th September, the Egyptian President has invited his Russian counterpart to be part in the signing ceremony of the finalization agreement of the Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant project. The ceremony will be held in Egypt.

Egypt has been finalizing its agreement with Russia to build the its first nuclear power plant. The finalization of the agreement will lead to a final agreement and then the project will be ready for construction.  

 The project will be executed by Rosatom and the Russian-designed nuclear power plant will be located in the Dabaa region in Egypt. The nuclear power plant will consist of four units and each unit will generate 1200 MW.

The meeting of the two presidents was part of BRICS summit which is a conference attended by member countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Egypt attended the summit as a controller.
