A new alliance in the nuclear material industry

In August, the “Nuclear Energy Materials Industry Development Alliance” was inaugurated in Beijing. Mr. Xin Guobin, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Information technology and Mr. Meng Zhenping, the general Manager of SPIC as well as Mr.Wei Suo, the deputy general manager attended the conference.

Nuclear Energy Materials Industry Development Alliance is a jointly established non-profit organization, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information technology, launched by SPIC. The aim of the Alliance is to create a high level innovation platform of nuclear energy materials through cooperation between the Government and university, to promote the development of nuclear energy materials, to accelerate the self-development of nuclear energy materials, to break through the bottleneck in the production and application of nuclear energy materials, to realize the advantages of the industrial environement of nuclear energy, to promote the transformation and the competitiveness of nuclear power in China.

More than 100 members from the National Institute of Science and Technology, Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute, Tsinghua University, China Institute of Atomic Energy and others, nearly 200 representatives attended the meeting.
