In Moscow, Rosatom organized the IX International Forum ATOMEX 2017, between November 14-16th. This year, the feedback from suppliers on the application of the current system of procurement and logistics was the focus of the event. Within the framework of the Forum, two large meetings with suppliers were held regarding industry procurement practices and regulatory documents, and the continuously improvement of the procurement system. The 3-day program of the Forum was filled with various business and exhibition activities. Approximately 90 companies presented their products on the stands. More than 2,000 delegates visited the Forum.
On the first day, Alexei Likhachev met with representatives of companies participating in open industry purchases. The list of participants included both large supplier companies that have been cooperating with Rosatom for a number of projects and SME that are planning to participate in the procurement. The meeting was moderated by Vladimir Gerasimov, Executive Director of the Interfax Group.
During the discussion, it was possible to discuss issues of procurement procedures, compliance with the terms of the implementation of contracts, the conditions for incoming control. The experts specially emphasized openness and transparency of the Rosatom’s system aimed at combating corruption and providing its competitive advantage.
“Procurement is one of the key activities of Rosatom,” A. Likhachev said. – The issues of efficiency of procurement activity are paramount for us today. Therefore, we pay great attention to the development of five main areas: improving feedback channels with suppliers, developing a qualified customer’s internal service, typing and categorizing purchases, and introducing an audit procedure for participants and attracting contractors. ”
An industry-specific business briefing was also held at the forum site, in which heads of divisional and functional divisions of Rosatom answered questions of interest to suppliers.
