A consortium wins the contract for the East Sohag station

Egypt signed the tender contract for the East Sohag transformer station with a consortium of the companies: Al Kharafi, NHVS and TAIKAI.

Gamal Abdel Rahim, President of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company attended the signing ceremony. The purpose of the project is to discharge the energy generated from Beni Suef station and west of El Borolos in Upper Egypt Electricity.

Abdul Rahim pointed out that the total value of the contract is about LE 653 million or equivalent to about USD 37 million. The project is financed from the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company’s own resources. The implementation is supposed to take place within a period of up to 12 months from the date of the contracting.
