Rosenergoatom will operate Akkuyu

Rosenergoatom , a subsidiary of Rosatom, recently announced that the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) will be under its operation and maintenance.

According to the information contained in the activity report of the Rosenergoatom, which operates all the nuclear plants in Russia, the company signed an agreement with Akkuyu NGS for service maintenance in 2017.

Akkuyu NGS Project, which officially started construction of Unit 1 on April 3, was signed with Russia in 2010. The plant is composed of four reactors with a power of 4,800 megawatts. Akkuyu NGS Project is one of the largest contracts in the hands of Rosatom, the state enterprise of Russia with a cost of 20 billion dollars.
