On June 4, the first technology exchange meeting between China and Central and Eastern European countries on energy cooperation was held in Beijing. Li Fanrong, deputy director of the National Energy Administration, attended the meeting.
Li Fanrong said that China and the countries in Central and Eastern Europe have strong complementarity in the energy sector and have great potential for cooperation. The China-Central and Eastern European Energy Projects Dialogue and Cooperation Center (hereinafter referred to as the “16+1” Energy Center) has built an effective platform for cooperation between the two sides. This technical exchange will help to further enhance mutual understanding and expand consensus on cooperation between the sides.
The meeting was guided by the National Energy Administration and sponsored by the Power Planning and Design Institute of the Chinese Secretariat of the “16+1” Energy Center. More than 200 representatives from energy authorities, energy companies, institutes, and financial institutions in China and Central and Eastern Europe attended the meeting.
