The Minister of Mines and Energy, María Fernanda Suárez Londoño, appointed Luis Miguel Morelli Navia from Cucuta, as president of the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH).
The new president of the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH), is a lawyer from the Colombia University, with a master’s degree in Comparative Law from the University of New York, and macroeconomic policy and planning studies at the Northeastern University, in Boston, U.S.
Morelli Navia has over 20 years of experience in the oil sector, including management positions in major Canadian companies and state-owned Ecopetrol, among others.
The experience of Luis Miguel Morelli also extends to the public sector. He was Governor of Norte de Santander between 2004-2008.
The new president of the ANH will have, among other challenges, to stimulate and promote investment to increase production figures and hydrocarbon reserves.
