South Korea announced the launch of the first session of the Korea-UAE high-level nuclear energy advisory board on Friday November 16thin Seoul.
The Council plays the role of a comprehensive and strategic communication channel in the field of nuclear energy between the two countries.
The meeting is chaired by South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Lee Tae-ho and UAE Minister of Energy and Industry Suhail Al Mazroui, with the participation of about 50 officials from relevant ministries and institutions from both countries.
Both sides are expected to review the status of the construction of the Barakah nuclear power plant and exchange views on the feasibility of jointly developing nuclear power plants in a third country and jointly develop nuclear energy, nuclear security, nuclear energy safety and other technologies.
