Turkish students completed their training at Atommash

Turkish students at the Institute of Physics Engineering in Moscow completed their hands-on training at Atommash. 35 students from the fifth year of “Nuclear Power Plants: Design, Operation and Engineering” studied at the Resource Center at Atommash. In MEPhI, students studying under the Rosatom program will then work in Akkuyu NGS.

The students followed a practical training at the factory focused in the manufacturing of nuclear equipment, including reactor and steam generators.

The trainees learned some non-destructive testing methods at Atommash, including ultrasonic control of the steam generator, and flow control of the steam generator pipes. In addition, all students passed the training program for the equipment acceptance procedure in the manufacturing plants.

In addition to the students of the National Institute for Nuclear Research at the Moscow Institute of Engineering and Physics, Tomsk Polytechnic University’s 3 graduate students from Brazil, India and Nigeria also received practical training at Atommash. More than 350 people from Jordan, Vietnam, Egypt, Bangladesh, Chile, Bulgaria and Armenia have been trained in Atommash since 2016 . In 2019, more than 200 students will be trained in the factory.
