The nuclear program in Ethiopia

In June 2017, Rosatom and the Ethiopian Ministry of Science and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in various areas of the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes. Last April, at the Atomexpo-2019 forum in Sochi, the nuclear program in Ethiopia reached a new milestone.

The Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom signed with Ethiopia a roadmap to establish cooperation in the framework of nuclear power plant projects and the center for nuclear science and technology in this country.
