US Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) Visits China

On June 3rd, Ernest J. Moniz, co-chairman and CEO of the United States Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI), visited China National Nuclear Security Technology Center. Two sides exchanged views on issues including the measures and challenges of nuclear security and non-proliferation.

Moniz visited the center’s laboratories and related testing and training facilities afterward.

On the same day, Zhang Kejian, director of the National Atomic Energy Agency, met with Moniz, discussing on strengthening cooperation in the field of nuclear security between China and the United States. Zhang Jianhua, deputy director of the National Atomic Energy Agency, accompanied the meeting.
