On June 6, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was held. And under its framework, the second Sino-Russian Energy Business Forum was held concurrently.
Yu Jianfeng, President of China National Nuclear Corporation, attended the opening ceremony and proposed at the power sub-forum to jointly promote the cooperation between China and Russia in the field of nuclear energy and build a community of human nuclear energy development.
At the meeting, Yu Jianfeng pointed out that in the next step, Sino-Russian nuclear energy enterprises should strengthen cooperation in building a nuclear energy industry development community, leading the global nuclear energy technology reform, building an upgraded version of Sino-Russian nuclear energy cooperation, and jointly building the “Belt and Road” platform.
The focus of global nuclear energy development is shifting from traditional nuclear power to an emerging economy, and those countries along “Belt and Road” will become a key market area for global nuclear energy development.
