Egypt cooperates with Korea in nuclear education

Egypt, July 8 – Ain Shams University signed a protocol of cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering of the University and the International College of Nuclear Studies, Yusan Kings University, South Korea, in the field of nuclear energy.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdulwahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, and Dr. Ann Namsong, President of Kings University, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Ain Shams University.

Cooperation will include the consolidation of joint research activities, joint programs and diplomas, professional training for students and researchers, and the exchange of faculty, graduate students and researchers.

This cooperation in several joint research projects aims to link scientific research with the nuclear industry.

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, said that through the protocol, a new program of graduate studies in the field of nuclear energy will be added, as one of the new programs in which the Faculty of Engineering cooperates with international universities. And currently, nuclear energy is being implemented in Egypt.

He added that the study in the new program will be for two academic years, the first year will be academic and the second will be applied study, and through the protocol, will allow the student to study for a semester or more at the Kings University, Korea.
