Argentina presents an artificial neuronal network in the ASME conference

During the ASME 2019 Pressure Vessels & Piping Conference on July 14th,   in Texas, the Argentine company IMPSA  introduced an innovative application: an artificial neuronal network in the structural design of nuclear reactors.

The Argentine technology company IMPSA has 40 years of experience related to nuclear energy and is one of the three Latin

American companies with ASME N certification for the manufacture of nuclear components and the only one certified with its design.

Currently, IMPSA participates in the structural design and manufacture of the first nuclear reactor for power generation (CAREM) with 100% Argentine technology.  The Argentine company developed a calculation methodology based on Artificial Neuronal Networks.

A large number of cases that represent the reactor operating conditions generated a database. The artificial neuronal network became a new IMPSA software, currently in production.

The Technological Development Center owned by the company in Mendoza developed the research and testing of the new AI program. The interdisciplinary team consists of more than 100 technicians, engineers, and Ph.D.
