Argentina and Vietnam nuclear cooperation

President Macri’s trip to Vietnam focused on boosting business in that country, increasing the trade balance and getting investors for Argentina in the short term. Vietnam is the fifth destination of Argentine exports with a figure exceeding 2,2 Billion USD per year.

President Mauricio Macri and his Vietnam counterpart, Nguyen Phu Trong, agreed to advance bilateral relations to increase trade, and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries, including the Defense.

Macri and Nguyen stressed the importance of the Business Forum held in Hanoi and pointed out that the regular dialogue between the companies of both countries increased trade.

Both presidents expressed interest in cooperating in the development of peaceful uses of nuclear energy through the Argentine Invap and the Vietnamese institutes.

Argentina highlighted that Vietnam is the country in Southeast Asia with which it maintains the most intense bilateral relationship in the area of technical cooperation.
