Iran is building a 540 MW power plant in Syria

Iran is currently building a 540 MW power plant in the Syrian governorate of Latakia, Iran’s Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian said.

The station under construction “is being implemented with the participation of the Iranian private sector and its Syrian counterpart”, stated Ardakanian on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting.

The minister pointed out that the process of reconstruction of Syria requires a large capability and that many countries are willing to cooperate in this area, stressing that Iranian companies aim to invest in this market.
