Taprogge supplies cooling water solutions for the turbine of Akkuyu in Turkey

Rosatom announced that NPO TSNIITMash and the German company Taprogge signed a contract for the supply of water cooling solutions for the turbine of Akkuyu NPP, Turkey’s first nuclear power plant, under the authority of Atomenergomash.

Taprogge GmbH will supply the sets of equipment for the four units of the nuclear power plant. TSNIITMash is the integrator of the components produced by the German company according to the European standards.

Note: Atomenergomash, which also produces reactor equipment for nuclear power plants in India, Bangladesh, China, Russia, and other countries, supplies reactor equipment and machinery for all four units of Akkuyu NGS.

The intergovernmental agreement on the establishment of Akkuyu NGS was signed with Russia in 2010. Akkuyu NGS, which will consist of 4 reactors with a total installed capacity of 4,800 megawatts, is planned to be commissioned in 2023.
