Beijing actively builds “energy valley” in 2020

Recently, Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform released a report on the implementation of Beijing’s 2019 national economic and social development plan and the 2020 national economic and social development plan. It stated:

Beijing will systematically build a “three cities and one district” innovative highland. Meanwhile it will actively undertake the construction of national-level laboratories, and pay close attention to the implementation of the three major science cities, and continuously improve the function of “science + city”.

The Future Science City shall focus on revitalizing existing resources, introducing diversified innovation subjects, enhancing the vitality and connection of innovation elements. The ultimate goal for eastern district of Beijing is to take advantage of the key and advantageous areas such as the Internet of Energy and the fourth-generation nuclear power to actively build an “Energy Valley” in Beijing.
