Electricity consumption decreased by 25% in Tunisia

Tunisian Minister of Energy and Mines, Munji Marzouk, confirmed that electricity and gas consumption decreased by 25% due to the decrease in economic activity.

Marzouq added that the ministry is working to supply all areas with domestic gas and avoid the shortage of some of them. He also indicated that he is working with his Algerian counterpart to complete the final touches of the contract between the two countries that will secure Tunisia gas supply until 2027.
