A paid leave for employees of the EAEA because of the Coronavirus

Dr. Atef Abdel Hamid, Chairman of the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA), decided to extend the exceptional leave granted to all employees of the Authority from the beginning of April until mid-April 2020; a paid vacation that is not counted within the legally established leave and does not affect any of the employee’s financial dues.

This comes as a precautionary measure in accordance with the state’s plan to deal with any possible sources of spreading the Novel Coronavirus Covid-19.

The chairman of the EAEA clarified that excluded from this decision are those who the work needs require them to be present in the various locations of the authority during the extension of the exceptional leave, and after accreditation of the heads of centers, heads of projects and the Secretary-General, each in his jurisdiction.
