How were the uranium resources, production, and demand in 2020?

A report deriving from an international organization stated that the existing sufficient uranium resources could support the long-term and sustainable use of nuclear energy.

But the impact of the new coronavirus pandemic on the industry and the recent reduction in uranium production and exploration may affect existing supplies.

The report titled “Uranium Resources, Production and Demand in 2020” includes the latest information since January 2019. It provides analysis and data from 45 uranium producing and consuming countries.

The analysis and information are based on official data from 31 countries and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, and the International Atomic Energy Agency’s preparations for 14 of these countries.

The report assessed the supply and demand of uranium resources in 2018 and forecasted the supply and demand before 2040.
