In April 2019, during the 2nd “Belt and Road Initiative” Summit, China and 29 countries jointly launched the Belt and Road Energy Partnership in Beijing.
The National Energy Administration plans to convene the second “Belt and Road” Energy Ministers’ Meeting this year, expand partnership members, establish partnership charters, issue the Belt and Road Initiative on Green Energy Cooperation, and build the Partnership into a platform for high-quality cooperation in the energy sector under the belt and road framework.
National Energy Administration plays a vital management and coordination role in the “Belt and Road” intergovernmental cooperation framework. It would be committed to fully mobilize enterprises, financial institutions, research institutes (schools), trade associations, and other social forces to carry out a full range of multi-level various forms of cooperation, and strive to form a number of best practice cases in the next five years.
It aims to shape a group of influential energy cooperation experts in the international community, train a group of outstanding young talents for the energy industry, gradually consolidate the “Belt and Road” energy partnership international influence, and promote the “Belt and Road” energy cooperation to go further.
