Renewable and Nuclear Energy Transition in Indonesia

The Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that Indonesia received funding commitments worth US$20 billion from the countries that are members of the G7 for its energy transition.

Japan is leading the cooperation with Indonesia with the exchange of the Steam Power Plant (PLTU) with renewable energy or new and renewable energy (EBT).

Indonesia is also pushing for studies regarding the development of Mini Nuclear Power Plant and the development of Blue Ammonia or ammonia, which is processed through the carbon capture and storage (CCS) stage.
