China’s green hydrogen project landed in Morocco

China Energy Construction International Construction Group signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Aguilan Brothers and Gaia Energy in Morocco on green hydrogen projects in the southern region of Morocco.

This is another important achievement achieved by China Energy Construction after the signing of the memorandum of understanding on the cooperation and development of the green hydrogen project in Egypt, China Energy Construction has made full use of the advantages of the integration of the whole industrial chain, strengthened the cooperation of the global third-party market, and achieved a new breakthrough in the overseas new energy and “new energy +” market development, and achieved a new breakthrough in the Northwest African regional market.

It is reported that the project is located in the coastal area of the southern region of Morocco, with convenient port and shipping transportation, and the project content mainly includes the construction of a production plant with an annual output of 1.4 million tons of green ammonia (about 320,000 tons of green hydrogen), as well as supporting 2GW photovoltaic and 4GW wind power project construction and later operation and maintenance.
