Algeria is assessing its reserves of unconventional hydrocarbons

Algeria is ranked third in the world in terms of shale gas reserves. The government is assessing its reserves of unconventional hydrocarbons, including shale gas, while ensuring the training of executives and workers to master the new applied technologies.

Minister of Energy Mohamed Arkab reported this assessment on the sidelines of the presentation of the government’s Action Plan to implement the President’s program, before the members of the National People’s Assembly (NPC).
