The American Agency for Trade and Development (USTDA), sent a delegation of which has completed a working visit to Algeria at the end of January.
Carl B. Kress, head of the delegation and regional director of USTDA for the Middle East, Europe, and Eurasia, emphasized his eagerness to grow the Algerian-American partnership, particularly in the energy and telecommunications sectors, as well as the rationalization of the introduction of advanced American equipment, applications, and IT services.
The USTDA delegation held several meetings with the leading representatives of the public and private sectors, in the presence of the American ambassador John Desoquer, to examine the possibilities for the Agency to support projects in the energy and telecommunications sectors.
The USTDA reaffirmed its commitment to finance a commercial visit to the United States to respond to the interest of the Sonatrach group for US technologies, services, and equipment.
