Bahrain’s first solar power panels factory with EU standards

Vice-chairman and chief executive officer of Solartecc, a solar energy company, said that his company will obtain building licenses for the building of a factory in the coming weeks, at a cost of about 2 million dinars ($ 5.3 million US).

Rabi Abdullah said that the factory can produce 80,000 panels per year equivalent to 22.5 MW annually, adding that the plant will be located in the Bahrain International Investment Zone.

Abdullah added that the plant will be built within seven months. He stressed that a huge project would follow the plant and will be announced soon.

The company is also looking to expand internationally and in the Gulf region, as Solartecc is the first Bahraini manufacturer with high quality European specifications.
