Rosatom plans to start construction of the Akkuyu project this summer.
Rosatom announced that the necessary documents for the initiation of nuclear plant operations will be ready by October.
Rosatom’s engineering company “Atomstroyexport” has already tendered the technical requirements for the concrete structure and other buildings.
The results of the studies carried out on the technical conditions will be used for the construction of nuclear units 1 to 4. The foundation and installation activities will begin in 2017.
The Turkish Ministry of Energy will deliver the construction license in 2018. Rosatom noticed that the construction will last two years.
