CEO of EDF meets Czech Republic Prime Minister

The call for tenders for the supplier of a new reactor in Dukovany should be launched next December by the energy group ČEZ, mainly controlled by the Czech state.

The companies Rosatom (Russia), China General Nuclear Power (China), KHNP (Korea), Westinghouse (USA), and EDF (France) are competing to build a new reactor at the Dukovany nuclear power plant, located in southern Moravia.

On November 20th, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček met with the CEO of Electricité de France (EDF) group Jean-Bernard Lévy in Prague.

Andrej Babiš and Jean-Bernard Lévy corresponded on nuclear energy, renewable resources, and the European energy mix.
