CGN’s installed nuclear power capacity exceeds 27 GW

With the successive commercial operations of Guangdong Yangjiang Nuclear Power Unit 6 and Guangdong Taishan Nuclear Power Unit 2, CGN has 24 nuclear power units in operation and a total installed nuclear power capacity reaches 27.14 million kilowatts.

Huang Xiaofei, a spokesperson for CGN, introduced that in addition to those already being operational, CGN is constructing 5 extra nuclear power plants with an installed capacity of 5.78 million kilowatts. The total installed capacity of nuclear power ranks the first in China and the third in the world. As of the end of 2019, its total assets exceeded 750 billion yuan.

Except for nuclear power, the total installed capacity of new energy resources in operation in CGN exceeded 20 million kilowatts, and in overseas it exceeds 11.08 million kilowatts. Among which, the European onshore wind power project-CGN’s Arctic Wind Power Project in Sweden will be completed and put into operation in the first half of 2020, and the largest transaction in the European new energy market in 2019-the Swedish Powerhouse project is steadily achieving delivery as planned.
