On September 10, the EDG production kick-off meeting for units 3 and 4 of Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant was held at CSSC Shannxi Diesel Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. Representatives from Huaneng Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., Hainan Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., and China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.
Participants conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as interface manual adjustments and project experience feedback, and put forward feasibility plans, and clarified work arrangements for subsequent centralized review of subcontractor qualifications and fastener supplier selection.
Hainan Changjiang Units 3&4 feature “Hualong No. 1” technology, and plan to build two million-kilowatt-class PWR nuclear power units. On June 30, 2020, Hainan Changjiang Co., Ltd and China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully signed the “EDG Equipment Supply Contract for Changjiang Units 3&4”, selecting PC series diesel generator set produced by Shaanxi Diesel to provide emergency guarantee for the project implementation.
