China CZEC reached a cooperation intention with Uganda

CNNC China Zhongyuan Engineering Corp. (CZEC) received a delegation from *Uganda Ministry of Energy and Mining. Both parties reached a nuclear cooperation agreement after signing a MOU to strengthen the business relation.

 

During the meeting in China, the Uganda delegation also visit the NNSA, CIAE, and the Hualong Demonstration Project site. It mainly focuses on the exchange in China’s nuclear regulation system, HPR 1000 technology, research reactor and the talent training as well as the public education.

 

The Ministry of Energy & Mining stated that Uganda is watching closely on the situation of the Hualong No.1 in China and wish the demonstration project to be operational as soon as possible. Uganda is planning the nuclear development.

 

*Statistics show that the Uganda has an installed capacity of 800MW. And according to its long-term planning, this figure could rise to 40 GW by 2035. Therefore, now the Uganda has the blueprint of listing the nuclear energy in the future energy structure.
