China plans 450GW wind power and photovoltaic base

The Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a series of press conferences on the theme of “This Decade of China”. Hu Zucai, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, attended, introduced the construction and reform of economic and ecological civilization, and answered questions from reporters.

Hu Zucai pointed out that at present and in the future, we should focus on five aspects: strengthen overall planning and coordination; vigorously promote energy revolution; vigorously promote green and low-carbon transformation and development of industries; vigorously advocate green lifestyles; actively participate in global climate governance.

Among them, we must vigorously develop new energy and plan to build 450 million kilowatts of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases in deserts, Gobi, and desert areas, and 85 million kilowatts of projects have already started construction. The second batch of projects is stepping up the preliminary work to accelerate the construction of a new energy supply and consumption system.
