China-Saudi Arabia Joint Commission on Nuclear Energy

On August 23,the third session of Sino-Saudi Joint Commission on Nuclear Energy was held in Beijing. Mr. Nur Bekri, Director of National Energy Administration (NEA), and Dr. Hashim A. Yamani, chairman of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KA.CARE) participated in the meeting.
Both sides exchange on the nuclear energy development, specific cooperation programs, including the small modular reactor.
In particular, Mr. Li Xiaoming, the general manager assistant of China National Nuclear Cooperation (CNNC), presented the latest progress of CNNC-KA CARE cooperation and delivered the intention to further development with Saudi Arabia in the nuclear energy section.
