China steps in Saudi’s Uranium

On April 22, Liu Baohua, deputy director of the National Energy Administration of China, and Yu Jianfeng, general manager of China National Nuclear Corp (CNNC), met with ‎Khalid A. Al-Falih, the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia and Prince Dr. Turki Saud Mohammad Al Saud, President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST).

Earlier on April 19, Yu Jianfeng, accompanied by a delegation, visited the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) to inspect how to establish a full-scale cooperative partnership.

Yu Jianfeng stated that besidethe current cooperation, China’s uranium industry and the Saudi GeologicalSurveywill continue to expand partnershipin the second phase of the Saudi Uranium and ThoriumResource Project and wind &solar energy market.
