Construction license for Akkuyu Unit 3 in March

President of Rosatom, Alexey Likhachev, announced the possible construction license for Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) Unit 3, in Mersin this March.

Akkuyu NGS finished last summer the infrastructure in the new port that enabled the delivery of the first heavy shipments.

Akkuyu Nuclear project company, 100% of which belongs to Russia, is implementing the Akkuyu NGS project. The agreement signed with Russia on the construction of Turkey’s Akkuyu envisions the possibility of selling the 49 percent stake in the company to foreign investors.

Iran and Russia energy plan
