Dubai launches the biggest solar energy project in the world

Dubai Government announced that it is launching a new solar energy project, which is the biggest solar energy project in the world. This project comes as a step towards achieving Dubai’s clean energy plan to add environmentally friendly energy resources to its energy mix. The plan is to raise the contribution of clean energy to 25% by 2020 and to 75% by 2050.

The project will consist of the tallest energy power tower in the world; Its height is 260 M. The project will generate 700 MW and will cost 3.9 Billion USD.

Two companies from China and Saudi Arabia won the execution of the solar energy project.
